Captain: Leads the crew, assumes top authority in times of crisis, issues orders while making sail and during battle. Decides which treasures to pursue and determines the best course to achieve them.
Quartermaster: Liaison between Captain and crew. Settles disputes, acts as a civil magistrate a trustee for the entire crew. Leads an attack against enemy ship and/or acquires vessels. Takes command of any seized provisions, treasures or prizes and makes sure that they are divided fairly among the crew.
First Mate: Assists the Captain in all manners, especially in the areas of navigation.
Master of Arms: Keeps general order and discipline among the crew, oversees security of the brig, escorts and guards prisoners.
Gunner: Keeps ships weapons and ammunition in order, teaches crew how to fire cannons.
Boatswain(Bo'sun): Keeps his charge of the ship's colors, rigging, cables, and anchors.
Carpenter: I don't even have to explain this.
Surgeon: I'm not explaining this either.
Cooper: Makes and maintains all barrels and other such casks of water, liquids, and other stores.
Sailmaker: Gee...this is obvious!
Cook: Do I need to explain?
Deck Swabber: They swab....the deck!
